tomato soup is a great go to meal on a cold day. its easy, delicious, and healthy! to make tomato soup you will need:

1 yellow onion

3-4 cloves of garlic

1 carton of diced tomatoes

2 tablespoons of olive oil

1 teaspoon of oregano

a few leaves of basil

salt and pepper to taste. first, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. then grab a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. next, start by cutting your yellow onion into fourths and adding it to the baking sheet. then roll up your basil leaf and cut it into ribbons, adding it to the baking sheet as well. add 3-4 cloves of garlic, diced tomatoes (with their juice), and oregano. once you have all your ingredients on the baking sheet, mix everything around and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. stir everything around again so that all the ingredients are coated in oil. put the baking sheet in the oven and set a timer for 15-20 minutes. while your soup is cooking, feel free to do something else or just relax! after 15-20 minutes have passed, take the baking sheet out of the oven. let it cool for a minute or two before adding all the ingredients into a blender. blend until you reach your desired consistency and enjoy! tomato soup is best served warm with some bread on the side, but it can also be eaten cold straight from the fridge. either way, this delicious soup is sure to hit the spot on a cold day!
